Biography of First Lady Lakita C. Lackey, D.Hum.

Our International First Lady

Lady Lakita C. Lackey has been anointed and appointed by God to teach and to proclaim
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is the daughter of the late Mr. James Caldwell and Mother
Evelyn C. Woodson. Upon graduating from Benjamin E. Mays High School, (Atlanta,
GA) she continued her educational pursuits at Clark College (now known as Clark
Atlanta University) in Atlanta, GA. While matriculating at Clark, she was a vibrant part
of the “Lady Panthers” basketball team. In March 2008, the Anointed by God Seminary
of Brooklyn, NY honored this powerful woman of God by conferring her with an
Honorary Doctor of Humanities Degree.

“First Lady”, as she is affectionately called, has always been known for having a
congenial personality. Although she had many great virtues, she did not know the Lord.
That changed on December 31, 1983, during the “Watch Night” service at the Christ
Tabernacle United Church of God in Christ (Bishop Spencer Lackey, Pastor). In that
service, she accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.

On March 2, 1985, she married her high school sweetheart, Minister (now Presiding
Bishop) Aaron B. Lackey. To this union, God blessed them with two beautiful and very
talented children, Aaronlyn L. (Leon) Wright and Aaron B. Lackey, Jr.

This dynamic “Woman of God” fervently believes that “All things are possible, with
God.” Lady Lakita C. Lackey is an ordained evangelist, a highly sought out speaker and
the organizer & leader of the “Women of Excellence Ministries” of the Temple of Prayer
Family Worship Cathedral in Fairburn, GA. Dr. Lackey is the former Director of the
“Silence is Sinful” AIDS awareness initiative through the Southern Christian Leadership
Conference (South Fulton Chapter). She serves as the First Lady of the Temple of Prayer
Family Worship Cathedral, the Georgia Northeast Jurisdiction and the United Churches
of God in Christ, Inc.

In June 2024, at the “Rhythm of Gospel Awards”, “Bishop Aaron Lackey & the
UCOGIC Choir” won, “Contemporary Choir of the Year”, “Gospel Song of the Year”,
and “New Artist of the Year” because of the song, “WONDERFUL HE IS”, which was
led by this amazing woman of God.

Through the ministry of First Lady Lakita C. Lackey, know that you will be “Inspired,
Impacted and Illuminated”, in Jesus’ name.
